Jennifer Abernethy brings an incredible wealth of experience, innova- tion, and creativity to her business. As America’s “Sales Stylist” to Business Professionals and CEO of the “ultrahip” Sales Lounge, she strives to make sales and business development hip, fun, and about the learner, not her.
Jennifer worked for 22 years as an award-winning account executive in both national advertising and e-learning industries, selling tens of millions of dollars in products and services. In January 2007, she went on to become an entrepreneur, speaker, trainer, and respected national coach for social media, success, and sales. She was among the early adaptors to social media for businesses. When most people where still scratching their heads and not sure of the business applications for social media marketing, Jennifer forged ahead. Her Social Media Edge programs in the Washington, D.C., area have helped hundreds grow their connections and brand. She publishes an award-winning e-zine, Success, Sales and Social Media, and in November 2009 launched The Sales Lounge Insiders Club, a three-tiered membership club for professionals around the globe wanting to grow their business and income while learning Jennifer’s success programs and strategies. Jennifer is a sought-after speaker on social media innovation and sales. She regularly speaks, teaches, and coaches others on how to grow their business and brand using social media and other creative marketing strategies. Her clients range from the “solopreneur” to the business executive to corporate and multilevel marketing sales teams.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She also has a certificate from George Washington University in Event Management and Marketing. In 2005, she was selected to be a story reviewer for Chicken Soup for the Adopted Soul. She has been a guest panelist on social media for many conferences and local television. She is also a member of the National Speakers Association, where she serves as vice chair of the Sales Professional Experts Group, eWomenNetwork, and serves on the board as new media chair for Success in the City.
Jennifer lives in northern Virginia with her husband Michael, daughter Natalie, and son Brayan.
